1. Acceptance of terms
By using the V15ION Acoustic Analytics website at v15ion.ai (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
2. About the Site
This Site describes the passive acoustic monitoring and analytics services that V15ION Acoustic Analytics Inc. ("V15ION") is developing, and lets you request a demo. No subscription, licence or service agreement is formed through this Site.
3. Demonstrations and simulated data
Waveforms, maps, detection feeds and figures shown on this Site are illustrations built with simulated data unless we clearly say otherwise. They show how the services are designed to work, not results from a specific deployment.
4. Not for navigation or safety decisions
Nothing on this Site is a navigational aid, a safety system, or a substitute for your own legal or regulatory obligations, including required approach distances, vessel slowdowns and permit conditions. Acoustic monitoring cannot detect every animal: whales that are silent, far away, or masked by noise may go undetected.
5. Permitted use
You may use this Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Break any applicable law or regulation
- Send unsolicited advertising or promotional material through the Site
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl or harvest content with automated tools without our written permission
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in the demo request form
6. Intellectual property
All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, animations and code, belongs to V15ION Acoustic Analytics Inc. or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law. The V15ION name and logo are brand marks of V15ION Acoustic Analytics Inc. You may not copy, distribute, modify or create derivative works from Site content without our written permission.
Methods referred to on this Site are described at a general level. Describing them does not grant any licence to V15ION's software, models or processes.
7. Third-party sources
This Site may cite or link to third-party publications, datasets and websites. We provide these for context and are not responsible for their content or accuracy, or for the privacy practices of those sites.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". V15ION makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the Site or its content, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
Descriptions of services, capabilities and performance reflect current development goals and may change before commercial launch.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, V15ION Acoustic Analytics Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Site or its content.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the effective date above will change. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
